Over 600 motorcycles, and hundreds more people joined us on Davidstow Airfield Runway on Easter Sunday for this year’s Egg Run. It may have been the hottest Easter, but the 250 donated chocolate eggs were kept safe, and the only thing that melted were the hearts of those that witnessed the size of the Run and the loving nature of those who helped raise over £5,000 for children in care.
Bikers donated chocolate eggs which have now been delivered to children in care across the Duchy. Once we’ve finish collecting all monies promised, we’ll be visiting the charities for cheque presentations.
Praised for being well organised and properly marshalled, the Egg Run left the Airfield at 11.10am for the annual spectacle through Camelford fore street. It then lead down to Wadebridge, over to Victoria for a fuel and comfort stop, before winding over the Moor and up to Bowden Derra Park.
The end event at Bowden Derra was well attended by residents and people from the village of Polyphant, with stalls and a raffle helping contribute just under £700 of the total raised.
The South West Chapter and Moorlanders would like to thank all those supporting the Egg Run – from those that came out to wave, the bikers taking part, to the many corporate sponsors and Bowden Derra Park.
Join us next Easter Sunday, 12th April 2020 when we’ll be doing it all again!
