Widows Sons MRA England Kernow Grand Chapter has been valued for the support it has provided to Lodges in the Provinces of Cornwall and Devon, particularly those that have experienced a decline in membership.
As well as enjoying active membership in their respective mother lodges, Widows Sons brothers also take up office and membership of a number of lodges in the South West area.
This started with the Lodge of the Chisel No 9398 – now successfully handed over to the Province of Cornwall to be a University Lodge. In 2018, the Devonshire Mayflower Lodge No 7241 was rescued from the point of handing back its charter to become the first Motorcycle Enthusiasts’ Lodge in the South West.
Similarly, in 2019, the Earl of St Germans Lodge No 7031 has been able to continue its history in Wadebridge, Cornwall and will now go on to celebrate its 70 year anniversary in 2021.
